I have been teaching at Franklin High School since 2005, and currently have classes in choir, orchestra and piano. Previous teaching experience includes the San Francisco Waldorf High School and the Nueva School.
I have a B.A. in music from the University of California, Berkeley (1997) and an M.M. in vocal performance from The San Francisco Conservatory of Music (2000). I completed my teaching credential after attending the University of Washington and University of the Pacific. While my training is primarily in voice, I have extensive experience with the piano and trumpet as well. As a student, I performed in choir, jazz band, and numerous musicals. As an adult, I have performed extensively with choirs and a handful of operas.
Besides teaching at Franklin, I have been the assistant conductor of the Stockton Chorale (2011-12) and have guest conducted the U.C. Berkeley Chamber Chorus (2007). I also teach private lessons in voice and piano-- if interested, please let me know!
